About the FRC

Strengthening Families, Building Futures!
The Family Resource Center was established in April, 1999. The need for a universal support system for all families in Eau Claire county, as well as a central collaboration point for family service organizations, was established by the Healthy Communities 2000 assessment in 1998. The Family Resource Center opened its doors in November, 1999.  Services have recently expanded into Dunn County!

The mission of the Family Resource Center is to provide programs and services that build on family strengths through prevention, education, support and networking in collaboration with other resources in the community. The Family Resource Center is available to ALL families and children in Eau Claire and Dunn Counties.
  • We believe that parents are their children's first and best teachers.
  • We believe families are diverse in their needs, and we provide parent support and education in a variety of ways to meet the unique needs of each family.
  • We believe all families have the right to access support and educational services.

What do we do?
Children don't come with instructions. The Family Resource Center provides parenting education, information and support services to any family living in Eau Claire or Dunn County. Services are offered on site and throughout the two counties and include parenting classes, playgroups, home visits, worksite seminars and other programming to address a variety of needs that parents encounter. Parents can call anytime for information, resources, referrals or for support.
