Position Title: MATCh Coordinator
(Mental Health Assistance for Teens and Children)
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Part Time (.25 FTE)
General Job Description: The primary services offered by this position are to provide assessment, intervention, referral, follow-up, advocacy, and community education. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing information and assistance services, including a resource directory and agency networking. In addition, the coordinator will be responsible for presenting educational classes to teens and parents on mental health-based topics. Identification of mental health, child development and behavioral issues are key in determining the appropriate referrals. Strong knowledge of community resources and key contacts are important to the position.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years experience working with children and families, experience in identifying mental health issues, excellent oral and written communication skills, relational approach to client service, commitment to strength-based community services, and bachelor’s degree required.
Position Title: Parent Educator
Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Part Time (.40 FTE)
General Job Description: Develop and facilitate parent education services to parent participants and their children, including parent education classes for incarcerated parents and relationship education classes. Provide home visitation services utilizing the Parents As Teachers curriculum and provide information and referral services in relation to child/family services.
Qualifications: Knowledge of and experience with child growth / development, parent-child relationships, positive child guidance and developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills, relational approach to client service, commitment to strength-based community services. Bachelors degree required.
